Wednesday Thoughts

  • I got to visit with my friend since high school, Laurel. We talked about wrinkles, getting older, and how it is still weird to us that we have children of our own. Man I wish she lived closer!
  • With my 32nd birthday fast approaching, I am forced to think of something that has just recently begun to freak me out a lot......aging! It is not that I think I am an old woman at the age of 32, but because if I am getting older, then so are my parents. So are my grandparents. So are my kids. Sometimes I wish that you could freeze time, or at least make it slow down a little.
  • I am so thankful for my little girls. I must take a moment, and freeze time, and praise God for them. They are healthy. They are alive. They are my joy.
  • My favorite thing that Emma says now is "ewww, disgusting!" This of course usually follows a burp from daddy. Although if she burps, she simply says.."ha ha, I burp." Guess it's not disgusting when it is her.
  • Does anyone else think that the Barbie movies are weird?
  • I hate dust. Seriously. If there was something invented that promised you no more dust I would buy it. Especially if it was only 3 easy installments of $19.99, and they threw in a free Shamwow.
  • I am so over American Idol. If I have to watch anymore lamos sing into the camera with those googly eyes, I will throw up. And really judges? Listening to them ramble on for 10 minutes? Maybe my attention span is just getting shorter, but it is just so BORING.

A Weekend of Sports.

How cute is she with her pink clubs?!

Matthew heading for the finish and so happy.

This weekend I ran my first 5k, while Matthew ran his second half marathon. I have to note that for a girl that HATED running in PE, and usually faked some type of illness, this is monumental. I never pictured myself running daily for exercise (and liking it), and I certainly never thought I would enter in any type of race. Someone once told me that running is addicting (Peris), and I would now have to agree......I am already looking at a 10k.

And Victoria started her golf lessons on Friday and loved it. She has already asked when she gets to go back, and I think there is nothing cuter than a 6 year old in golf bermudas and pink clubs.

Flowers, Fun and Friends.

After the Rapids.

Waiting for Toy Story.

On the railroad and gorgeous flowers at CA Adventure.

Although it was unusually hot for April (felt like August), we had another fun day at Disney with our friends the McNeill's. It was a day of firsts.....Star Tours, Thunder Mtn, Soaring, Grizzly Rapids, and Indiana Jones. My girls seemed much braver with boys around!

Emma Words

Awhile back I posted an old video of a little Julianna and her "words". Something that Matthew started with Victoria. So now it begins with Emma, and a slightly modified version of course. Also, I have been having troubles with blogger and the format. Don't be offended if your website link has disappeared. Hopefully it will be correct soon enough (before I rip out my hair).

Camping Weekend

We took this same picture last year and Emma could barely walk.

We went on our first camping trip of the season. The girls always love it, and Emma was easier this year. It was a great time just being together and making memories.
