Two Years Old

I realized today that I never blogged about my baby turning two. Her big day was celebrated at Disneyland......where she hated rides in the dark and wasn't too fond of the characters either. Besides that, she seemed to have lots of fun, Small World was her favorite of course. Anywho, here are some pictures from her big girl photo shoot. She is not the easiest to photograph, in fact she rather enjoys not looking at me on purpose. I also have been playing with a new photo editing program that I have and love so far.

Big Bear Weekend

Here are a few of my favorites from our weekend in Big Bear. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful (thanks MIL), and the beds were amazing. Seriously, not sure what kind of matresses they were, but I have never slept better.....even the girls slept longer! Aside from sleeping, the days were spent lounging, eating way too much crap, and playing in the snow. Luckily there was a lot of snow on the ground in the backyard, along with a pre-made hill for sledding. The older girls loved it, while Emma's idea of snowplay was sitting in it and eating it.....nothing more. I have decided that bundling 3 kids up to go play in snow is dreadful. Perhaps living in SD has spoiled me, but being able to run out the door, with flip-flops and no jacket......yes please!

Hello!

We found this video on an old laptop that we were cleaning off........here is an adorable video of Julianna, at about 2 years old. She says she is talking to "dadow" which is what she used to call my sister.

Slideshow

The original cabinets, tile around tub and carpet with the tub step.

The original shower stall above. Below the destruction begins. Notice the plumbing is on the left side of the shower wall, and that gorgeous blue wallpaper!

Months ago we started to remodel our master bath thanks to a leaky shower and black mold in the wall. I realized after the fact that I didn't take any before shots of the whole bathroom. So, much to my mother-in-law's disgust I am using her bathroom as a fill-in, since we have the same model house. In her defense she does plan on remodeling hers soon. Thanks MIL!

The After!

I love the cabinets painted black, and the new floor. Plus getting rid of the step in front of the tub made the room look even bigger.

This is a great shot of the new shower in the reflection of the mirror. Moving the plumbing to the other shower wall, enabled us to open up the side over the tub (thanks dad).

We kept the original tub, just changed the faucets in the whole bathroom (man those are pricey). You can kinda see the floor tile in the shower here....might be my favorite part! The hall in front of the shower leads to the potty, not too exciting....hence no pics. It was a long, tedious and expensive project, but I now LOVE my bathroom.
